Kesennuma has two famous oyster farming areas.　These are Karakuwa and Oshima. Those area oyster’s are super fresh and of course, delicious because both areas are surrounded by mountains, and the rich nutrients stored by the mountains flow into the sea through rivers. This tour allows visitors to board the boats of local oyster fishermen in these two areas and experience with them how oysters are cultivated. This is a valuable experience that allows you to learn more about the oysters you usually eat, as well as the fishermen’s care and commitment to their oysters. There is also a plan that offers you the opportunity to eat oysters at oyster hut or local oyster restaurant after the experience.
