SEE & DO
Onuma / Menuma
It is said that the Izanami and Izanagi, said to be the gods of marriage, are enshrined here. It is said that if you write your lover’s name on a piece and tie it to a pine tree at Onuma with your left hand, your love will succeed. Onuma is surrounded by cliffs and the waves are crashing against the cracks in the rocks. Menuma is surrounded by a 20-meter depression and is worshipped as a god who relieves the summer heat. The color and combination of the water in Onuma and Menuma give a sense of mystery to those who see them.
