Kannokura Tsunami Stones
They are called “Tsunami Stones” because they were washed up in the cove after the tsunami of 2011. The largest of the stones is 6 meters high and 6 meters wide—there are five stones in total blocking a small beach. Imagining how such massive stones could have been moved gives one a sense of the power of a tsunami.
