Tsubaki Tunnel
Karakuwa Peninsula has a relatively mild climate year-round, making it hospitable for camellias. In spring, more than 20,000 camellia trees around town bloom beautifully, and their large red flowers are a delight to behold. Camellia trees are planted as a hedge to protect houses from storms, and their oil has both culinary and cosmetic uses.
